About
What is Processing Community Day?
Processing Community Day is a global network of community-led events that brings together artists, designers, technologists, educators, students, and open-source communities around the world.
It is a chance to share our passion for creative coding, and to celebrate the people and communities who create, maintain, teach, and sustain the open-source tools that make it possible, including but not limited to Processing and p5.js.
Each event is independently organized by its local community, which means every PCD is different and reflects the people and context of that place. What we all share is a love for creative coding!
There is no single official date for PCD, but we encourage events to take place during October so all of us around the world can celebrate together.
Anyone can host a PCD. If you would like to organize an event in your city, the Organizer's Kit walks you through it, from the simplest possible version to a full day of workshops and talks.
